House & Patio Plants

House and conservatory plants are a great way to brighten the home and give focus to a room. Whether you want to make a colourful statement or just want a foliage display there are so many to choose from.

These plants can vary with the seasons, but many are available all year round. We also have dedicated compost and feed for all plants to keep them in tip top condition.

During the Christmas period our plant arrangements for home or patio are available, made to order or supplied from stock – all put together by us. We also make and sell hanging baskets of all types.

Pebbles, stones and pots can enhance the way a plant is displayed so select one that keeps the plant in good condition and also matches your room décor. Follow the feeding and watering instructions for best results to keep it looking in tip top condition.

Ficus el Tinke (variegated Rubber Plant) – this very distinctive houseplant has a lovely combination of waxy green and cream leaves tinged with pink. Loves a bright position but out of direct sunlight. Another wonderful air-purifying houseplant.

Succulents

Succulents & Cacti – Growing succulents and cacti is fast becoming an addictive pastime! Easy to grow they make great plants for the novice gardener. They like a bright sunny position and only water when the compost is dry (using rainwater where possible).

Asters – Part of the daisy family, Asters are great for transitioning the season between summer and autumn. These pretty, colourful plants make a great cut flower to bring some cheerfulness inside. Perfect in pots, they quite like a dappled situation. Keep deadheading to prolong the flowering period.

Mini Patio Cyclamen – As summer begins to fade, brighten up your pots, hanging baskets and window boxes with for autumn with these bright and colourful mini cyclamens. Mix with some contrasting foliage and your pots will look fabulous throughout autumn.

Orchid 2021 f

Moth Orchids – Bring a touch of elegance to your home with these beautiful blooms. Available in a variety of colours, moth orchids will flower for many months. Keep out of direct sun and water carefully. Often thriving when pot bound, re-pot every 2-3 years.

Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily) – An easy-to-care-for houseplant with majestic white blooms, happy in lower light conditions. Keep compost moist but not waterlogged and mist foliage regularly. An air-purifying plant that removes many indoor toxins.

Citrus Meyers Lemon – the most reliable variety for growing in the UK. Richly scented flowers will fill your greenhouse or conservatory with spring perfume, after which lemons will develop. Lemons need regular feeding, when actively growing, with a balanced citrus fertiliser.
