Late Flowering Clematis

Late Flowering Clematis

4th August 2021

Climbing plants play a huge role at this time of year, not only by adding a splash of colour in the garden but flowering at eye-level and taking up very little ground floor space!

Clematis truly are the queen of climbers and Viticella Clematis varieties are not only tolerant of poor soil they rarely wilt.  Being a light scrambler they can be used to cover fences, trellis and arches and also wind themselves through large shrubs and small trees.

Cut back hard in spring to encourage strong new shoots.

Varieties include Etoile Violette (purple), Ville de Lyon (deep pink) and Madame Julia Correvon (deep pink/red).  Subject to availability, please check which varieties we have available before making a special journey.
